Our story

Siam has elephants

สยามSiam · Thailand
มีMee · has
ช้างChang · elephant

Siam Mee Chang means "Siam has elephants." The elephant is Thailand's national animal, a symbol of strength and good luck, and the heart of our logo.

We are a small shop based in Thailand. We look for pieces in different regions of the country, from big-city markets to small local workshops, so each one carries the character of the place it comes from. We want to give you the feeling of a trip to Thailand: the colours of the night market, the cotton of a Lanna shirt, a glass painted by a local hand. Everything we sell is sourced directly from Thailand, so each order carries a real piece of the place with it.

Your parcel

Packed like a gift from a friend

Each order travels in two boxes, so it reaches you safely and opens like a present.

Outer box

Built for the journey

A strong shipping box with padding inside, so nothing moves on the long trip from Thailand.

Inner box

Wrapped with care

Our branded box, wrapped in bubble. Fragile glass and ceramics get their own bubble layers too.

Inside

A note from us

A handwritten thank-you card in Thai and English, plus an elephant sticker to keep.

Kinder to nature

We try to use packaging that breaks down naturally wherever we can, such as paper, cardboard and natural fibres, to cut down on waste that ends up in nature.

FAQ

Good to know

Where do your products come from?

Everything is sourced directly in Thailand, from local makers and markets in different regions. Some pieces are handmade by local makers; others are favourites we pick from Thai markets. Each listing says which.

How do I place an order?

All orders go through our Etsy shop, so your payment and purchase are protected by Etsy. Tap any "Shop on Etsy" button on this page to visit us.

Will I pay import tax?

It depends on your country. Some countries charge import duties or VAT on parcels from abroad. Etsy shows any taxes it collects at checkout; other fees may be charged by your local customs.

Can I ask for a custom item or a gift note?

Yes. Send us a message on Etsy before or after you order, and tell us what you have in mind. If the parcel is a gift, we can write the card to the person receiving it.

What if something arrives broken?

We pack every fragile item carefully, but if something is damaged, message us on Etsy with a photo within a few days of delivery and we will sort it out with you.
